Lap 215 -- Carl Edwards opens up a 1.29-second lead over the field. Brad Keselowski takes eighth away from Denny Hamlin.

Lap 212 -- Kyle Busch slides back into third as Jimmie Johnson settles in behind.

Lap 190 -- Kevin Harvick is hit with a huge penalty and the team is appealing to NASCAR after speeding while entering pit road. Harvick's No. 29 hit Kasey Kahne's tire changer leaving pit road as emergency personnel tend to injuries.

Lap 187 -- The field pits. Denny Hamlin takes four tires and fuel with a wedge, air adjustment. Jimmie Johnson takes tires and fuel and is out quick. Kevin Harvick takes tires and fuel. Harvick gains two spots and the lead. Hamlin loses three and Johnson goes up one.

Lap 186 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 7: Debris. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will get the free pass.

Lap 185 -- Kevin Harvick posts the fastest lap and is on the move in third.

Lap 170 -- Jimmie Johnson survives the three-wide and settles in 12th. Denny Hamlin up to ninth after passing Aric Almirola.

Lap 169 -- Jimmie Johnson three-wide for 11th. Denny Hamlin on the move up to 10th.

Lap 168 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards leads the field to green, followed by Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr.

Lap 165 -- Kevin Harvick will pit and take four tires, following their pre-race strategy. Harvick calls for no other changes. Denny Hamlin pits and is loose with a host of adjustments. Jimmie Johnson takes tires and fuel. Kyle Busch needs tires and an air adjustment. Harvick calls off a wedge adjustment. Jimmie Johnson has another slow stop and is knocked out of the top 10.

Lap 164 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 6: Kevin Conway wrecks. Denny hamlin and team can use this time to get the No. 11 fixed for good.

Lap 163 -- Jimmie Johnson remains the live points leader, 18 points ahead of Denny Hamlin.

Lap 162 -- Tony Stewart finds the top 10.

Lap 160 -- Denny Hamlin gains a spot and moves into 15th.

Lap 158 -- Martin Truex Jr. has pulled away from Carl Edwards and leads by more than 1.2 seconds.

Lap 156 -- Kyle Busch is Sunday's biggest mover at this point -- up 33 spots into third. Twenty-five cars remain on the lead lap.

Lap 153 -- Ryan Newman is in sixth and will try to pass Jamie McMurray on the low side.

Lap 152 -- Jimmie Johnson gives up sixth to Jamie McMurray and pulls in behind.

Lap 151 -- Joey Logano has had 3 DNFs this season as the No. 20 teams works to get the car back on the track.

Lap 149 -- Matt Kenseth rounds out the top 10.

Lap 148 -- Denny Hamlin is back into 16th.

Lap 147 -- LEAD CHANGE: Martin Truex Jr. takes the lead as he and Carl Edwards open up a 1.6-second lead over the rest of the field.

Lap 145 -- Kyle Busch takes third away from Kevin Harvick. Carl Edwards has the lead but Martin Truex Jr. is on his bumper.

Lap 144 -- Jimmie Johnson drops to fifth as Kevin Harvick slides into third.

Lap 143 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards leads the field to green, followed by Martin Truex Jr., Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick.

Lap 141 -- Carl Edwards will lead the field to green, having edged out Martin Truex Jr. as the yellow came out.

Lap 140 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 5: Joey Logano gets turned by Juan Montoya and sustains plenty of damage. The No. 20 is headed to the garage.

Lap 139 -- GREEN FLAG: Martin Truex Jr. leads the field to green, followed by Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 137 -- Martin Truex Jr. remains the leader.

Lap 136 -- The field pits. Denny Hamlin will get work done on the splitter and the No. 11 team will take their time to get it right. Jimmie Johnson takes no adjustments and Chad Knaus tells him to adjust his line on the track. Kevin Harvick gets no changes, four tires and fuel. Jimmie Johnson picks up four spots. Denny Hamlin remains on pit road making repairs.

Lap 135 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: Marcos Ambrose spins. Jeff Burton gets the free pass.

Lap 134 -- Kasey Kahne's track-bar adjustment and air adjustment have killed his momentum as the car becomes too loose.

Lap 133 -- Martin Truex Jr. reports the car is tight but fast and is confident over the radio. It's been 130 races since his last Cup win.

Lap 130 -- With the exception of Martin Truex Jr., the top 10 remain unchanged.

Lap 129 -- LEAD CHANGE: Martin Truex Jr. passes Carl Edwards for the lead on the front stretch.

Lap 125 -- Aric Almirola rounds out the top 10.

Lap 120 -- Kyle Busch refuses to give up seventh to Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 117 -- Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch are racing for seventh. Johnson reports the car is solid and needs a few minor adjustments at next stop. Denny Hamlin appears to be struggling with the car and the right splitter may still be giving him trouble.

Lap 116 -- David Ragan passes Kasey Kahne for 10th.

Lap 114 -- Denny Hamlin has spent some time in 16th but has dropped down to 19th during the past few laps.

Lap 112 -- Carl Edwards opens up a 1.26-second lead over the field.

Lap 111 -- Carl Edwards has led 73 laps Sunday and continues to have a great weekend at Homestead.

Lap 110 -- Kevin Harvick remains in fifth and challenging A.J. Allmendinger for fourth.

Lap 108 -- Kasey Kahne rounds out the top 10. Jimmie Johnson is in eighth.

Lap 106 -- Jamie McMurray moves right behind Carl Edwards and is doing battle for the lead.

Lap 105 -- Jamie McMurray has a fast car and moves into second, passing Martin Truex Jr.

Lap 104 -- LEAD CHANGE: Carl Edwards passes Martin Truex Jr. for the lead.

Lap 103 -- Kevin Harvick gets a push from Kyle Busch and moves into fifth.

Lap 102 -- GREEN FLAG: Martin Truex Jr. leads the field to green, followed by Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne and A.J. Allmendinger.

Lap 100 -- Jimmie Johnson will restart in 10th as Kevin Harvick settles into the sixth spot.

Lap 99 -- Tony Stewart will get the free pass. Denny Hamlin pits to work on the splitter. Jimmie Johnson takes tires and fuel. Kevin Harvick takes a track-bar adjustment and four tires. Kevin Harvick picks up two spots, Jimmie Johnson loses three.

Lap 98 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Debris on the race track.

Lap 95 -- Kasey Kahne posts the fastest lap at 31.90 seconds.

Lap 94 -- Kyle Busch rounds out the top 10.

Lap 93 -- Martin Truex Jr. has increased his lead to 1.5-seconds.

Lap 88 -- No Hendrick driver has ever won at Homestead. Jimmie Johnson appears to have the best chance at this point in the race. Denny Hamlin has settled into 16th and is on the bumper of Mark Martin.

Lap 87 -- Kevin Harvick is on the move and closing the gap on Jimmie Johnson, in seventh. Jeff Burton is in 34th after starting 14th. A slow pit stop and problem with the left-rear tire put him a lap down. Jeff Gordon feels he's down on power and has switched to a second battery but reporting a cylinder may be down.

Lap 86 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. remains the last car on the lead lap.

Lap 84 -- Aric Almirola rounds out the top five.

Lap 83 -- Carl Edwards is closing the gap on Martin Truex Jr.

Lap 80 -- Kevin Harvick is in eighth, just behind Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 78 -- Kyle Busch rounds out the top 10 after starting in 33rd.

Lap 77 -- Martin Truex Jr. continues to lead by more than 1.2-seconds.

Lap 74 -- Kevin Harvick moves into ninth as Denny Hamlin finds 16th.

Lap 73 -- LEAD CHANGE: Martin Truex Jr. finds the front spot, followed by Kasey Kahne and Carl Edwards. Thirty cars remain on the lead lap. Jeff Burton goes a lap down after a long pit stop.

Lap 71 -- Jimmie Johnson pits and calls for adjustments to a tight car. The No. 48 picks up five bonus points but the team has a terrible pit stop at more than 15 seconds.

Lap 70 -- LEAD CHANGE: Carl Edwards pits and takes four tires as Jimmie Johnson takes the lead.

Lap 69 -- Juan Montoya is in with a tight car and takes four tires. Kasey Kahne finds his pit stall with a loose car, takes an air and wedge adjustment, four tires and fuel.

Lap 68 -- Jeff Burton challenges Jimmie Johnson for fourth. A.J. Allmendinger pits, takes four tires and fuel.

Lap 66 -- Denny Hamlin pits with a tire about to go down. He tells Mike Ford the car doesn't feel right.

Lap 64 -- Carl Edwards puts Andy Lally a lap down.

Lap 61 -- Jimmie Johnson remains in command of the point as he runs in fifth, just behind Martin Truex Jr. Green-flag pit stops are coming up.

Lap 59 -- David Ragan reports the car is a tad free but is pleased as the No. 6 settles into ninth position. Kevin Harvick has driven from 26th to 12th and after a major adjustment on pit road, the No. 29 is loose and free.

Lap 58 -- Matt Kenseth rounds out the top 10.

Lap 56 -- Jimmie Johnson wants a little more speed on his next pit but reports a stable race car and seems pleased.

Lap 54 -- The battle for second is heating up as Kasey Kahne and A.J. Allmendinger race side-by-side for the position. Martin Truex Jr. is close to joining the party as well as Jimmie Johnson rounds out the top five.

Lap 51 -- Carl Edwards increases his lead to 1.6-seconds ahead of the field.

Lap 50 -- Thirty-eight cars remain on the lead lap.

Lap 47 -- Denny Hamlin is taking advantage of the low side of the track, especially in Turns 3 and 4. Hamlin moves into 18th and is on the bumper of Clint Bowyer.

Lap 46 -- Carl Edwards opens up a 1.33-second lead over the field.

Lap 44 -- Kevin Harvick finds the 12th spot and is challenging Matt Kenseth for 11th.

Lap 41 -- Jimmie Johnson lifts and gives up fourth to Martin Truex Jr. Denny Hamlin continues to run the No. 11 on the bottom and is picking up spots.

Lap 40 -- Jimmie Johnson's No. 48 is increasing speed and posting faster laps than at the start. He continues to close on Kasey Kahne and martin Truex Jr. challenges Johnson for fourth.

Lap 38 -- Denny Hamlin moves up 15 spots and is running in 22nd.

Lap 37 -- Jimmie Johnson remains in fourth and is closing the gap on Kasey Kahne in third.

Lap 34 -- Martin Truex Jr. moves into seventh, up 18 spots since the start of the race.

Lap 32 -- Denny Hamlin tells everyone to take a deep breath, and has moved up nine spots since the accident.

Lap 30 -- Greg Biffle reports he smells smoke in the car. His crew reports the possible tire rub isn't enough to warrant making a trip down pit road.

Lap 28 -- Kevin Harvick has found the top 10 and doing battle with Mark martin to keep the position.

Lap 27 -- Carl Edwards jumps out front and continues to lead.

Lap 26 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards leads the field to green, followed by A.J. Allmendinger, Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 24 -- Denny Hamlin is on pit road. Mike Ford is being calm as he works with the team to get the car fueled up and four tires put on. The splitter is damages and the team is working to correct.

Lap 23 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: Trouble for Denny Hamlin as the No. 16 connects with the No. 11 and sends the car sliding through the grass.

Lap 22 -- GREEN FLAG: Carl Edwards leads the field to green, followed by Kasey Kahne, A.J. Allmendinger, Jimmie Johnson and Matt Kenseth. Kevin Harvick starts 15th and Denny Hamlin in 18th.

Lap 21 -- LEAD CHANGE: J.J. Yeley pits, Carl Edwards reclaims the lead.

Lap 19 -- LEAD CHANGE: J.J. Yeley stays out and takes the lead as most of the field pits. Denny Hamlin is tight through the center, good off, takes four tires. Jimmie Johnson is loose. Kevin Harvick is tight and plowing the center, takes four tires, fuel. Jimmie Johnson loses one spot off of pit road.

Lap 18 -- Gil Martin said before the race that he and the No. 29 team will use every opportunity today to keep fresh tires on the car.

Lap 17 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 1: David Reutimann hits the wall for the second time Sunday.

Lap 15 -- Carl Edwards continues to run strong up front and holds off Kasey Kahne, just .53-seconds behind.

Lap 12 -- Jimmie Johnson moves into third. David Reutimann and Kurt Busch both hit the wall as the race remains under green.

Lap 10 -- Jeff Gordon moves up a spot and rounds out the top 10.

Lap 8 -- Carl Edwards continues to lead as Jamie McMurray draws back toward Jimmie Johnson in the fourth position. Edwards reports a water temperature of 240 degrees and rising.

Lap 7 -- Jimmie Johnson is all over A.J. Allmendinger for third and continues to make his move on the high side. Allmendinger holds Johnson off.

Lap 6 -- Denny Hamlin gets around Marcos Ambrose and moves up another spot to 27th.

Lap 4 -- LEAD CHANGE: Carl Edwards passes Kasey Kahne for the lead. Denny Hamlin wastes little time and has moved up nine spots and into 28th.

Lap 3 -- Jimmie Johnson passes Jamie McMurray and takes over fourth.

Lap 2 -- Jimmie Johnson moves into fifth.

Lap 1 -- Kasey Kahne settles in and leads the first lap.

1:19 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Kasey Kahne brings the field to the green as the final race of the season, the Ford 400 is under way. Jimmie Johnson is starting sixth; Kevin Harvick starts 28th and Denny Hamlin starts 37th.
