Lap 82 -- LEAD CHANGE: Jeff Burton has completed his charge to the front as he passes Ryan Newman in Turn 1 for the lead.

Lap 79 -- David Reutimann falls to third as Jeff Burton gets around the No. 00.

Lap 77 -- Dave Blaney takes his No. 36 to the garage.

Lap 71 -- Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin side-by-side for eighth.

Lap 69 -- Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch the lowest-running Chasers in 23rd and 24th, respectively.

Lap 68 -- Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson get together racing for sixth.

Lap 67 -- Jeff Burton on the move as he passes Marcos Ambrose for third.

Lap 64 -- Denny Hamlin passes Tony Stewart for 10th. Jamie McMurray 29th and David Ragan 31st after their speeding penalties.

Lap 63 -- Jeff Burton goes to the inside of Greg Biffle and passes for fourth.

Lap 60 -- Kevin Harvick up to eighth after the pit stops making him the biggest mover on the track after starting 36th.

Lap 57 -- The top three are non-Chase drivers: Ryan Newman, David Reutimann and Marcos Ambrose.

Lap 53 -- GREEN FLAG: Ryan Newman brings the field to the green.

Lap 52 -- Hermie Sadler the one wave-around car and back on the lead lap.

Lap 51 -- LEAD CHANGE: Ryan Newman wins the race off pit road and leads as Casey Mears and Robby Gordon pit.

Lap 50 -- LEAD CHANGE: Casey Mears stays out and leads for five bonus points. Robby Gordon also stays out. Jamie McMurray and David Ragan too fast on pit road and will start at the tail of the field.

Lap 46 -- Jeff Burton has picked up 11 spots, up to seventh after starting 18th. David Gilliland takes the No. 37 to the garage.

Lap 42 -- Joe Nemechek and Tony Raines go a lap down.

Lap 39 -- Kevin Harvick has cracked the top 20 and currently runs 20th.

Lap 36 -- Hermie Sadler and J.J. Yeley go a lap down.

Lap 34 -- David Reutimann, Greg Biffle and Jeff Gordon in a three-way battle for third.

Lap 32 -- Jimmie Johnson passes Scott Speed for 13th. Denny Hamlin running 12th.

Lap 30 -- Ryan Newman has closed the gap on Marcos Ambrose and is challenging for the lead.

Lap 28 -- Landon Cassill takes the No. 64 to the garage.

Lap 26 -- Denny Hamlin is going backward, falling back to 11th.

Lap 23 -- Kevin Harvick up to 27th as he continues to work his way through the field. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Burton got together on the track.

Lap 21 -- Marcos Ambrose has opened up a 0.9-second lead on Ryan Newman.

Lap 18 -- Paul Menard in 13th is trying to find a groove on the outside.

Lap 17 -- Tony Stewart drifts to the outside and falls from fifth to eighth.

Lap 15 -- Jimmie Johnson up to 16th. Kevin Harvick up to 31st.

Lap 13 -- Denny Hamlin down to fourth as Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman pass him.

Lap 11 -- LEAD CHANGE: Marcos Ambrose drives around Denny Hamlin on the backstretch and takes the lead.

Lap 9 -- Jeff Gordon up to eighth as he passes Carl Edwards.

Lap 7 -- Juan Montoya still stuck outside and falls to 11th as Jeff Gordon and David Ragan pass him.

Lap 5 -- Juan Montoya pushed outside by Carl Edwards and Montoya falls to seventh.

Lap 2 -- Paul Menard stuck on the outside as is down to 11th.

Lap 1 -- Denny Hamlin leads. Marcos Ambrose drops to the bottom and maintains second.

1:17 p.m. -- GREEN FLAG: Denny Hamlin brings the field to the green and the Tums Fast Relief 500 is under way.

1:12 p.m. -- The cars are rolling off pit road for four warm-up laps. NASCAR took Jimmie Johnson's drive-train cover and the team had to replace it. No punishment will be given for the race, but NASCAR will inspect it after the race.

1:11 p.m. -- Robby Gordon is in the No. 7, replacing Kevin Conway.

1:09 p.m. -- The pit crews for the Cup teams give the command: "Gentlemen, start your engines!"

1:02 p.m. -- Winston-Salem State University's Marching Band performs the national anthem.

1:01 p.m. -- Eddie Barton of Raceway Ministries delivers the Invocation.

1 p.m. -- A moment of silence for Bristol Motor Speedway president Jeff Byrd.

11:28 a.m. ET -- It's a picture-perfect day in Southern Virginia for 500 laps at 0.526-mile Martinsville Speedway. It's currently 65 degrees under sunny skies. Temperatures should be in the low 70s when the green drops at 1:13 p.m. ET and climb to a high of 76 degrees. Denny Hamlin is on the pole.
