the sixth time at Dover, jumping to second in the point standings with
eight to go.

Jeff Burton.
Lap 395 — The No. 48 is out in front and led the most laps, picking up

loose and that he can barley hold on.
Lap 217—Kevin Harvick is closing on Denny Hamlin in seventh—things may
get interesting.
Lap 215—Jeff Burton has moved into fourth and reports his car has come
to life after making a pit stop.
Lap 214—Carl Edwards moves underneath Jeff Gordon and takes the fifth
spot. Something isn’t right on the No. 24; the team may have a problems
with the chassis.
Lap 212—Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 56 are headed to the garage for
repairs—a tough break for a team that ran up front for most of the race.
Lap 208—Martin Truex Jr. has to pit with a loose wheel. The No. 56
stalls and may have broken an axle.
Lap 205—Paul Menard rounds out the top 10.

third at this point.
Lap 163—‘Dinger says he’s just holding on to the car and wants more
forward bite.

Lap 158—Clint Bowyer has damage after the car gets loose and taps the
wall. The No. 33 goes a lap down.

Lap 81—Jimmie Johnson has made up some ground after losing positions on
pit road. He’s not alone in wanting more clean air.
Lap 80—Tony Stewart is running in 20th.
Lap 78—Jeff Burton doesn’t have the car he needs right now. The No. 31
is loose and can’t make up ground on the long runs.
Lap 76—David Reutimann is one lap down; he can’t keep up with all the
damage to the race car.
Lap 74—No surprise here—A.J. Allmendinger posts the top speed of the

Lap 73 —- Denny Hamlin appears to be slowing a little, down to eighth.

the race.
Lap 66 — A.J. Allmendinger has led more laps today than he has in 107

Lap 63—Kurt Busch is underneath Denny Hamlin and wants the seventh spot.
Lap 62—Jimmie Johnson passes Greg Biffle as well, moving into fourth.
Lap 61—Juan Montoya wants the third spot and Biffle gets out of the

Lap 54—Kevin Harvick’s rear tire changer fell on pit road and has hurt
his wrist. The team may have to use a different crew member.
Lap 50—YELLOW FLAG NO. 2: David Reutimann slams into the wall. Ryan
Newman has damage as well. A tough break for Reutimann, who said
earlier this week that he wanted to run up front and gain more exposure
during the Chase.
Lap 47—Jeff Gordon appears comfortable today; the No. 24 has gained
seven spots and settled into eighth.
Lap 45—Tony Stewart is the only driver to take two tires; the No. 14 is
getting passed easily on the track.
Lap 43—A.J. Allmendinger holds off Martin Truex Jr. but the No. 56
isn’t willing to let up.

loose. NASCAR officials want to repair before it falls onto the track.

Lap 36—Jeff Gordon is on the move, up four spots and into 11th.
Lap 34—Dale Earnhardt Jr. started the race in 32nd and hasn’t lost or
gained a spot.
